Kinderballet™ Mummy and Me

Ages: 2 to 3 years

Our “Mummy and Me” program is offered to younger children, aged between 2 and 3 years. It gives Mum (or the primary care giver) an opportunity to join in and share their child’s experience. Click here to sign up for your free trial class or enrol.

Kinderballet ™Tots

Ages: 3/3.5  to 5 years

The ‘Tots’ program is for children who are ready to take instruction from a teacher and work independently of their parent. Children are introduced to the idea of working in a group under the guidance of a teacher.

While it is important to us to give the children a fun and positive experience, we also feel strongly about teaching them the basics of dance. This differentiates us from activities where the goal is predominantly to entertain or just amuse children, sometimes with completely different class content each week. Kinderballet™ Next Steps

Ages: 5 to 7 years

Take Your Next Steps with Kinderballet™

Following on from the preschool Kinderballet™ programs, Next Steps is developed to be an inspiring, challenging and fun approach to learning classical ballet.

Inspiring – Expressing stories through movement – experiencing great traditional classical ballets. Inspires individual response to music and dancing.

Challenging – Developing basic classical ballet technique and increasing the range of ballet steps and the ways in which to execute them.

Fun – The emphasis is still on your child’s enjoyment without neglecting the importance of laying solid foundations of dance tuition. Click here to sign up for your free trial class or enrol.

Kinderballet™ Aspirants

Ages: 7 to 9 years

Following on from the Next Steps programs, Aspirants is developed to be the next stage in learning classical ballet. Unlike Next Steps, Aspirants doesn’t follow a class theme, but follows the structure of a traditional ballet class with barre work and centre practice.

Holistic Approach – While the class largely focuses on Classical ballet technique and building on the foundations laid by the previous levels to increase the repertoire of steps, the class is a recreational ballet class for those children wanting to experience a ballet class once a week. There is an element of creative movement within the program, to allow for freedom of expression and children’s own ability to think creatively. Along with set dances, the children will also have opportunities to develop their own choreographic skills within the class.

Final Presentation – The Aspirant program will culminate in a Presentation day – performing class work and dances to an audience and an adjudicator where the children receive an appraisal for their dancing for the year, receiving a certificate and a trophy.  Click here to sign up for your free trial class or enrol.

“My daughter Eva attended Miss Sophia’s dance classes when she was 3. It was an amazingly nurturing environment and I can not speak highly enough of Miss Sophia herself. Eva had the best time and the classes helped with her coordination. I cannot recommend these classes highly enough!” – Negar
